DIY – Homemade Febreze – Very Easy!

This DIY Febreze recipe is so easy to make, and you’ll save $$$.

I Love Febreze but I don’t want to pay the very expensive full price for a small bottle. It doesn’t seem to go on sale very often either. A few years ago I found this recipe and have been making it ever since. This works just like the store brand – with less chemicals and a much lower price!
Homemade Febreze Recipe

  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup liquid fabric softener
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Few drops Essential Oil (how many drops depends on how strong of smell you want) I use lavender

Pour the warm water in a bowl. Stir in the baking soda until dissolved. Add the fabric softener and essential oil, mix until all is combined.

You can use an old Febreze bottle or any empty spray type bottle to pour this liquid in. After pouring it in the bottle, shake well. Also shake well before each use. This recipe can be doubled.

This spray can be used on carpets, blankets, furniture, interior of cars, etc. Anywhere that needs freshening!

Hope this helps you save money on Febreze.
